I've never done anything like this before. My focus has always been on characters, not on backgrounds. So ya...Kinda jumped way in over my head here...Just sorts winged it and hoped for the best.

Still, I couldn't get the image to leave my head. Also, really feel like I shoulda put Riiko on the rooftop with her.

And all this cause of a single lyric in a pretty unrelated song, Gimme Sympathy by Metric.

It's got a nice similarity to Suzumebachi, but Fuyen no Issen Nagasu's Bankai looks more...delicate. Almost jewelry-like, as befits it.

Yuki makes me think of a yukionna here...she looks almost at peace in the raging snow. o_o; The Kajiura fits it. Nice job.

Well, the connection between Yuki and Yuki-onna is very intentional. I based her entirely on the myth. The way she died, her Zanpakuto's Seikai, the effects of her Bankai, and even a special lipstick she has. xD

I really like his Bankai's design. It's simplistic in a way, and yet...it really works. Kind of makes me think of if Tensa Zangetsu and Ryuujin Jakka had a kid. Very nice. Also, excellent Alice and FANTASTIC music, if I do say so myself.

And yeah, the story I came up with is that when Frey took his Captain's Examination (showing initiation and control of Bankai) it was the first time Alice saw him and she was quite impressed, dare I say taken by his display.

And then they met in person.

And the next thing anyone knew their new Captain of Division 5 was in a crater upside down and frozen in place by his limbs while the Captain of Division 6 was stomping off angrily.

The blush she has then is a sort of fond memory for her, the anticipation of meeting him for the first time, that respect that she felt for him. Anticipation is always infinitely better than reality. XD

She is intended to have more muscle definition than I usually draw her with, yes. DE doesn't actually alter her physically, or she'd be hulked out at level 3. xD She was and is a strong woman even without her DE.
