Role-Play Forums

Just a few things... before you go on...

We're happy to have you join us as a member and a player. But there are a few things you need to know before you enter.

When you sign up, you must activate your account.
~Make sure your e-mail is vaild and that you can receive e-mail at that address.
Please do not change your Avatar or add a Signature right away!
~Due to the Anti-Spam measures we've taken, the board will auto-ban your IP mistakenly thinking that you are a SpamBot. This can only be remedied by an Administrator. To avoid this, just make 10 posts in the Testing Forum or talk in General Discussion. Once your post count is at 10, you can freely change your avatar and your signature without worry.
    Post your Bio in Applications.
~If you do not post a bio, you will not be given Level 2 Clearance and cannot be an active member of the RPG Forums. There are way more forums than you will see as a Registered Member. ;3

We are, first and foremost, a role-playing community. As stated above, you need to post a character to take part in the bulk of what we are. Doing so, however, means that your character bio will be read and judged by your fellow players and by a fair set of standards.

It's not really that difficult, it's just making sure you have a decent amount of description in the various parts of your character bio. To make sure, we have appointed a "Mod of Applications!", Derryn Alectai/Colin, who reads and makes notes on the various bios and comments on them. He can approve them, the power to do so vested in him by our glorious GM; GuardMasterZZ/Cam; if he deems them good enough.

Don't worry, we aren't an elitist group of snobs, we're writers. We try to be decent writers, so we push ourselves to improve our own characters, and in doing so, those who are just joining have to at least be close to our current plateau of writing.

Still with me? Good! ^^

Your application is important, but they are only one part of the Role-Playing experience. The other part is you, the Player. If this is not your first online RPG, then you understand where we're coming from... But if it is your first game then pay a little extra attention to what we're explaining.

We know that everyone is different, and that everyone does things their own way... but to make the game run smoothly, all of the players must play by a standard set of rules.

Now, again, we realize that everyone has bad days. No one will remember ALL the rules, especially when first starting out, and that's perfectly fine. Even the most experienced of us still forget sometimes and others have to gently nudge us to remember them.

(Rules here)

Now, to the other players. We are a community. Really, we're almost a tight-knit family. Thusly, we're always trying to point out potentional mistakes and such in others' posts. We are not trying to be rude or elitist. We are not trying to force everyone into being an English Major either. If we come across that way, for the most part, it is probably simply the lack of emotion conveyed through text. Hence our propencity for smiles and emoticons in our Out of Character/OOC posts.

Really, we're just trying to help. If you feel someone has been rude, inconsiderate, or just plain mean, do not hesitate to inform one of the Admins or Mods in a polite and calm manner. If it is a post that has offended you in some way, do not hesitate to click on the "Report" button and report the post. A Mod or Admin will then check the situation out as soon as possible. It will not do anyone any good if you start cussing a Player or Admin out to another Admin over a miscommunication. We welcome anyone to join, and merely ask, as above in the rules, to read important things to help build a character; like the background to our story. So if you come up with something complely off base from our basic story, (For example: A character from one of the previous Digimon Seasons/the Anime or taking something from a completely different genre that wouldn't and doesn't make sense at all, like a Digimon 'trainer' ala that "other" franchise... *cough*) please try not to get upset when we inform you that some ideas need minor tweaking to fit our world's storyline. Many of the players will tell you from their own personal experience the Admins and Mods are a rather easy-going group of people who do actually work with players to make them happy as well as sometimes adding more layers to our story in the process .

In the end, that's the point of all of this, right? To have fun... add to the story... enjoy meeting new people, and such?

If you said yes, then click below to enter the forums and welcome to the world that is DDT.

Thank you for actually reading. You may use this banner to reach the RPG Forums now. ^_~
