Saw the RAW this morning, and lemme tell ya, I had a good feeling when it did something that Goseiger failed at: It made me forget the show was only half an hour long.

The characters are immensely enjoyable, from the FABULOUS and brazen Captain Marvelous, the quiet, in control Joe, money grubbing Luka (oh god I love Luka), pessimistic Don aka Hakase, and Ahim, who is the sweet princess that is by all means the heart of the team because dammit without her puppy eyes these fuckers wouldn't save a damn soul unless their screams of agony were becoming particularly annoying.

That right there is another reason to like them. They aren't really heroes in the classical sense. They don't go out dealing justice and keeping the peace, they are friggin' pirates. The key moment of episode one is when two women and some kids are being held at gun point and they have to be poked into actually saving the day because that scenario didn't seem interesting or had any value to be gained.

So yeah, episode one already helped wash the bad taste of Goseiger out.
