OKAY I DON'T FOLLOW SENTAI AND I'VE ONLY STARTED WATCHING ALL THE KAMEN RIDER STUFF AND KAMEN RIDER IS BETTER ANYWAY BUT I HAVE. TO COMMENT ON THIS. BECAUSE JUSTIN HAS SHOWED ME THIS RESSHA SENTAI TOQGER STUFF AND IT IS SIMULTANEOUSLY LIKE THE BEST THING AND ALSO TERRIBLE.

OKAY HERE IS THE FIRST EPISODE DESCRIPTION.

"When the evil Shadow Line begins to use their evil train the Kleiner to kidnap children, a young man named Right is amongst those nearly captured. He then sees the prismatic Rainbow Line and its Ressha trains appear, along with four of the ToQgers, inspiring him to help protect the children with them."

I COULD GO INTO THIS BUT REALLY I THINK IT STANDS ON ITS OWN. ALSO THE ENEMIES, AT LEAST LIKE THE NON-MOOK ENEMIES?! ARE CALLED SHADOW CREEPS AND THE FIRST ONE IS NAMED BAG SHADOW. I KNOW THIS IS A SENTAI SHOW BUT GOD DAMN.

ALSO THERE'S THE FACT THAT EVERYTHING IS POWERED BY IMAAAAAAGINATIOOOOOOON. EVERYTHING.

I think my only complaint so far is that I couldn't make the train puns if I wanted to, they make most of them IN THE SHOW ITSELF. I feel cheated. D:


Also, for anyone interested/afraid to watch but still wants to know, "ToQ" is pronounced "toh-kyuu". So it's "toh-kyuu-jaa", "toh-kyuu-oh"...

By the way, have I mentioned that I love Pink?

....oh my God after seeing the first episode I fucking wish for a crossover episode between this and Gaim. Not the giant Kamen Rider thing from Kamen Rider Taisen, just Gaim. Fruit vs. Trains.

XD Is it bad that both Mariah and I absolutely loved the first episode? Seriously, ToQ Go-Go is our absolute favorite.

Also, fucking love the mook designs.

2. Over-Time's translating the mooks as "Crows". Checking on it, they're named "クローズ" which probably does point to Crows, especially since the Shadow Line guys all seem to have a bird motif.

I really like "Crows" better, and thank you for the Over-Time link. The Youtube Sub was good translation but bad quality, the TV Nihon was kinda weird subtitles but good quality. I got both good from OT.

And well all the Shadow Line guys have names relating to 'Black' in various languages. >_>;;

Also~ FUCK YEAH. I LOVE KAGURA. 8D Yay!

I like how she also sorta breaks the 4th Wall on the first ep with "Me neither". XD

I watched the RAW Second ep and was surprised I could understand more than I thought I might. ^ .^ Still looking forward to the Sub though. >_>; Also previews of Ep3 = Kagura!

Y'know, I think I will need to watch this in its raw form. I do not understand a lick of Japanese, but do I really need to in order to enjoy it? It looks like a bad maple syrup trip to me. XD

It isn't like. .. necessary to understand Japanese, I feel, because the action gives you the general idea and if you've seen Power Rangers, you have general premise. ^_^;;

But Graham makes it sound like I haven't studied Japanese and don't understand any of it. >>; I understood half the ep because it is a Kid's Show, so it's not super-complex, language-wise, and I have a basic understanding of the language. >>;
