ALL HAIL NINTENDO

Postby MasterDJ » Wed Mar 03, 2010 2:52 pm

So, funny story.

On Sunday I went out to run some errands with the family. I took my DS and copies of Pokemon Diamond and Platinum to collect the Jirachi download at the Gamestop in that area with my little cousin. On the way home I called one of my coworkers who said he could cut my hair, so I took the fam home, dropped off my DS, but I left my copy of Diamond in my pocket. I get the hair cut and drop the pants I was wearing off to get washed.

My pants got washed and dried.

I just found the copy of Diamond in my pocket like five minutes ago.

IT STILL WORKS. Not a single bit of data lost or corrupted.

FUCK Nintendo knows how to make a game cartridge.

It's a good thing too, cause, turns out, Jirachi only wakes up once every thousand years. I doubt you'd be around for the next sighting.

XD

One benefit of cartridges. I'm sure the things are definitely tougher than UMDs.

As opposed to scratched games, a cartridge has only ever failed me due to age issues of internal batteries... like my old Pokemon Red and Silver carts ;-;

At least we have Fire Red/Leaf Green and the upcoming Heart Gold/Soul Silver to assauge the pain.

I never had a GBA, so had only played a bit of the Gen 3 games, and not Fire Red/Leaf Green. Though since I have a DS Phat with a GBA slot, maybe one of these days nostalgia for Red will finally hit hard enough. Totally getting HG/SS though XP

I too have an original DS, and am thinking of getting a Lite so I can trade with myself.
I have mixed New and Used copies of the games myself. New FireRed, New Emerald, Used Sapphire, Used LeafGreen

New Diamond and New Pearl of course >>

of course New HG (thanks Mom) and SS (thanks Cam)

I'm saving Sapphire and LeafGreen for uploading to PalPark of course. I'll need to see where the hell I stopped on FireRed and Emerald so long ago

This leaves me needing what... Crystal, Platinum and Ruby, no?

Firey chicken for the win.

All the gamestops around where I am actually stopped offering the little statues with their preorders. Luckily, I got my pre-order in, like, 4 days before they stopped offering the statues.

I have both the Ho-oh and Lugia statues. They're sitting next to the Giratina statue I received with Platinum.
