Possibility of a Xros Wars dub

Postby AnubisDragon » Fri Dec 03, 2010 2:38 pm

With The Will

Just found this. The name feels awkward to me. If they couldn't keep Xros, at least Fusion Wars would be tolerable.

Also, if they get rid of they Xros, would they still call the evolution codeword DigiXros?

Shoutmon! Ballistamon! DigiFuse! Shoutmon Fuse 2!

....Yeah.

Fuze

because Z and X are EXTREME!! and COOL

well I don't think a dub is a bad idea. Savers was decent and while pokemon is fun, I like to know what my partner-monster is saying

Indeed.

I don't think a dub would be bad either. I'm just anxious to see how the dub might change the original.

Savers had some odd changes, after all:

-BomberNanimon turned into an Orange (Understandable because of being a bomb; but exploding oranges?)
-Duftmon became Leopardmon making his mode change (Leopard mode) semi-redundant
-Yggdrasil became King Drasil

I just wonder if the american censors will be able to handle the ginormousness that are Lilithmon's gag boobs. XD

...GothLo- OH. Lotusmon. Or rather, BioLotusmon.

Though what was the problem with Xros.. what, does Marvel have a patent on the use of the letter "X"?

pronunciation? X is pronounced as ... well ECKS as in ECKS-avier (Xavier) or as a Z, making Xavier into "Zavier" when you say it. so, because (as TV Tropes says) ALL VEIWERS ARE MORONS (especially since they're kids) the powers that be figure they'll try and say Xross and ECKS-Ross or as Zross. neither of which makes sense. X standing for "Cross" won't figure into their corporate brains

ah! Lotusmon, not Rosemon, my bad

Your probably right. For years when I was a kid I pronounced those railroad signs that had "x-ing" on them: ECKS-ing, before someone finally corrected me that it was short for "crossing"

I still do, just for fun. This maked Xross into "cross-ross" for the "few" children smart enough to "get it" (by corporate's belief of all viewers are morons, remember) and cross-ross makes no sense. So the humble great white tv corporate man must save american children from thinking too hard about how the silly japanese name their shows!! Thinking is bad, remember, as one doesn't blindly buy merch >> *goes back to sleep*
