Begun as a combination peaceful resistance movement and union of [[Clockwork Savannah]] Digimon under the leadership of Gun Fangear, a HiAndromon community leader in Clockwork, it has expanded to be the largest and best known active guerrilla rebellion against the despotic rule of the the [[Royal Knights]] in the entirety of the Digital World. It seeks to either restore the status quo enjoyed by Digimon under the active rule of [[Yggdrasil]].<br />

The Gear Dan operate out of [[Clockwork Savannah|Scrap Town]], a small-scale settlement situated in the middle of a huge junkyard in [[Clockwork Savannah|Steelion Factory]] where it borders the [[Terminal City|Kernel Institute]]. This provides them not only a convenient hiding place from the Knights' forces, but an endless supply of raw materials for Peter's various technological experiments and a safe environment for when his spark of genius inevitably causes some sort of chemically fueled explosion or another.<br />
