Chibatmon are curious Digimon that like to investigate anything that catches their fancy. Their flying ability isn't amazing yet, but it's enough to get them into trouble...

Etymology

Japanese: The word 陰影 ("in'ei") means "shadow" or "gloom". English: "Leaf"

Background

This is the pre-evolution for both the Battrickmon and Battymon lines.

Using Gritta du Obscura as an example for the Battymon line, a description from her first appearance:

Her head was a little big for her body, which was covered in a jumper that looked to be based on the more leather armor that Battymon wore. Her wings were more round, and a much smaller Corebat sat on her belt... which slunk on her little body and may have been a a size or two larger than her, but never actually fell off. A little black bat decal sat across her chest, and two little nubs of red horns stuck out of her head. Her shades were smaller than the ones worn by the rest of the family, looking more like little pink glasses. Her body was white compared to the gray, red, blue, and violet of her ilk.
