Yamikumamon are extremely violent, even for Beast-type Digimon, and are called the Forest Terrors ; this may have to do with their possession of the Digital Hazard, influencing them towards trying to delete and tear through other Digimon; they will often use claws and teeth as well as attacks to destroy a target. Native to the dark forests around Makkura Run of Processor Continent and Terminal Forest of the File Islands, they are generally nocturnal, and unfortunately very territorial; they are especially merciless towards weaker opponents, showing no pity or mercy towards any that can't stand up to their attacks. Their overwhelming strength is held back only slightly by the Cimmeri Bands around their arms and neck.

Background

Though they are not native to the Media Archipelago, more than a few wandering Yamikumamon warriors have passed through the area, often coming into violent conflict with the natives; very few of them stayed put, as the Yamikumamon are either loners or very clannish, even in their native Processor, and tend to have hair-trigger tempers--especially given their natural evolutionary line.

The most prominent Yamikumamon in the Media Archipelago is Grace, the Contract partner of one Sonny Lin Kwan, Captain of the THESEUS-XIII Zodiac's SAGITTARIUS Division; the Captain actually found her as an abandoned, half-feral Unarumon during one of his first experiences with the Digital World, and formed a bond with her even prior to sharing his Wish with the Digimon--the moment of their Contract saw her evolve to Yamikumamon, boosted by Sonny's nascent Light of Evolution. While Grace is probably capable of transitioning to a Naturally-Evolved Adult and remaining there, she prefers to remain Yamikumamon most of the time, due to the high Hazard levels and extreme emotional volatility associated with Kodiakmon.
