Okay, I've been searching for the last hour and can find nothing on Toei or Bandai's sites about the new Digimon. This information was given out by someone who makes toys...

If a new series of Digimon comes out now/this early in the year, it's set for the Summer Anime Lineup, which I've found information on... and is usually considered the worst time for new anime to premiere. The seasons are shorter and series are sometimes short-lived. This Anime Season would start in July... Spring/Summer Anime Season. So lets hope if this is actual-for-reals, they wait until Fall/Winter Anime Season and let us have a longer run.

Toei has changed its North American Licensing Agent for Digimon, Firefly Brand Management. What's interesting is that Toei USA is now out of the loop completely. Toei Japan is dealing with Firefly directly. [Article]

And what I did find on Toei's site was a Digimon Grand Prix 3D Event. XD As well as Digimon Savers 3D. Part of 4 Anime shown.

At best, we have little information and have to wait for the official announcment.

At worst, this is the most elaborate and involved April Fool's Prank yet... and Japan fucking wins the award.

And as Cam said, this is all via an advertising listing for the straps. By the looks of it, they're probably getting onboard the Ganbaride/etc train with tie-ins to some sort of arcade machine.

Who knows exactly what direction they're going. Instead of the GATTAI being something-mon, it's ShoutmonX4 (Shoutmon Cross 4, according to the katana). Shoutmon's obviously the "main" partner, but I guess he could besides him being the only core component, maybe any of the others can act as a it too. Who knows, but it'll probably compete with Goseiger for attachment combinations >_>

Things don't always run like clockwork to a seasonal schedule. I'm sniffing your usual 50 episodes whether it starts in July, August, or September.

And yes, but there's also currently something else on in Digimon's usual Time Slot. So it means either that show will break (it doesn't look to be 'ending') or Digimon will move to a new Time Slot when it starts. I really REALLY hope they don't share Time Slots. That killed EXE and didn't quite make Ryuusei work so well. X_X; It's just in general. It doesn't mean that Spring/Summer Anime don't gather ratings/a fanbase, but usually they don't put 'big' anime into that season and they're GENERALLY shorter runs than those that start in the Fall/Winter season.

And yes, Shoutmon is the red Digimon by the unnamed Goggle Boy in the advertisement. And I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the other 'Digimon' listed are what he can Evolve into somehow. I'd have to sit down and translate the whole thing. Which takes a lot of time on my part. Mostly because while I can read it fairly well, translation is still rough without working at it.
