I mean... Just... I liked it, but I couldn't enjoy it. The term digimon was not mentioned once. Plus, It feels like the second part of the Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time. In terms of location.

Do not know how many people saw it, but just... I hope I see an Agumon. Or hell, some digimon at somepoint.

Plus, the main character thing is plastered all over the place. Like. Indirectly breaking the 4th wall. Like they just don't care. THIS IS NOT EXCEL SAGA PEOPLE! THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH IT! BUT THIS IS DIGIMON FOR GODS SAKE! JUST LOOK AT THE LOST EPISODE OF EXCEL SAGA, THEY GAVE NO FUCKS. DIGIMON HAS TO GIVE SOME FUCKS AND NOT BREAK THE GODDAMN WALLS!!!!

Completely agree.

It's Digimon in name, but it honestly feels like a departure rather than a new addition to the series. Appmon is becoming the new term they're trying to coin, and the designs feel limited by recognizable mobile app icons that we're all used to. Now, don't get me wrong; I think the idea of using gimmicks like spam filters, search terms and intelligent searches, etc. are cool and creative, but it also limits you going forward unless the writers move past it and just adopt a more general approach for the monster of the week moving forward.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it'll evolve and progress, but it's definitely Applimon, not Digimon lol
