Clothing swap will always be a win. I can't remember the name of the book but I read one in middle school where the pair of characters had a conversation about how flustered it made one of them. That wearing their clothes was like marking themselves as the other's territory.

Designed with games and tokusatsu in mind, Soma's Kachidoki Dialmaru was his answer to his desire for strength after a heated battle against Shugotenshi in Ether Jungle. Made to interface with his Champion Phone and cover both melee and ranged combat, the Dialmaru is a transforming weapon that is actually bigger than one would think Soma could wield. Yet all the same it's synced to his data, and anyone else who tries to so much as pick it up without his wanting them to have an insanely heavy slab of metal to try and swing.

Not very colorful, though, is it? These are the "phase out" colors, basically the sword without Soma's light engraved into it and the version that appears whenever the Malice isn't using the more inferior Lionheart. Not every function has been revealed, as Soma is constantly updating it as needed.

This was a right bitch to put together. I used weapons liek Ramlethal's sword from Guilty Gear, the Raising Sword from Kamen Rider Geats, the DaiDaiMaru from Kamen Rider Gaim, and the GN Sword series from Gundam 00. There are also references to Digimon itself, as the crossguard/plate is based on the Digimon Pendulum series of V-Pets.

It's late. Maybe sometime this week I'll have Soma's actual colors on it.

I started this awhile ago and then I guess stress and the like ran my ability to draw or do any sort of art in the foot.

As we've seen this past week I think my art mojo came back. SO! Time to go back and finish up unfinished hentai art, and Alma had one leading into her getting into a relationship with Yukito, Erica, and Darkness. This I think was when I was really get into testing "shock" and motion lines, as well as refining some of my use of spot blacks.

Alright so this is suuuuuuuper messy - after a few false starts on something new (for a combination of reasons, I have trouble finding pose refs for Jayden) I went back to my old outfit base for her and jury-rigged a fix for the main problem with it (her head being a bit small) so I could start mapping out her new outfit, and here we are o 3o;;;

ANYWAY. Jayden's pirate coat has always been adaptable, and there is reason for such. It is actually an pirate artifact known as the Aegis of the Southerly Sea. The Aegis is partially a reflection of oneself, which is why, not only it adapts for Digimentals, but it's pirate coat design has already previously changed once. It's now returned to a level where people can recognize it for what it is, and will continue to level up on its own as the reputation of Jayden and the Baron Lord Pirates grows further.

This is what her appearance is as of this moment in game, the Aegis literally just evolving after Jayden successfully retrieved a powerful Sword of Twinscar and had to try and fight off a high tier Ultimate-level Royal Knight.

She kind of went a bit overboard (subliminal message: Read Claymore) and yadda yadda, destroyed her Digimental Arm and irreversibly accelerated an imminent evolution into a D-Human >_>;;;;

ANYWHO AGAIN. Besides the two sleeves for a change and the lack of her Digimental Arm, this is also the first time that "Captain Jayden" has taken an openly feminine slant. Hormones may be playing into that a bit. Well, that and related after effects of having a ton of Demonic Vehicle and Flame Digimon DDNA pumping through her >_> Though, the coat can both be buttoned up and/or as well as secured by the golden outer belt (very poorly shown with a Baron Lords buckle) to create something closer to her former more androgynous look. The coat itself is more or less it's final design, I may fiddle with the vest design some, I wanted to make it look fancy-pirate in a kind of... Amano art-y way? And I guess for that matter the leather belt should have something near Jayden's hip, she can hang the combining Seventh Seraph long daggers there when realized (and attach the Sword of Twinscar to the right hip of the gold belt)

The idea was that the part of the animal (fangs, claws, scales, wings) would be prominent in each one. Once again, gotta thank Evie because originally they were all going to be yellow-gold and the white really helps things pop. This one was the most difficult because I had no idea how to keep the head and also get the claws in there. Honestly now this is probably my favorite just because the claws also look like a frilled collar nobility would wear. o3o

Godiva is the second Divine Crown Pegasus, but the first to truly establish a proper squadron. Almost befitting her bombastic figure, her emblem has the most curvature to it. It's meant to look more "defensive" than the other emblems.

"The Phantom Scales Cast a Shadow Over Life, Bringing About the End"

And here would be Dagrus's unit's emblem. Taken over from the previous "Imperious Scales" emblem under Albert Pendragon, upon ascending to the mantle Dagrus burned everything that had Albert's hand on it, decreeing that his time was over and that anyone that had a problem with that can speak with their fists. Taking on a more Eastern dragon theme compared to Albert's Western variation, Dagrus honors his lineage even in his armor, which is a fusion of both Japanese and Chinese ancient military styles.

And, of course, he made sure his new emblem retained the scar like his visor.

The first try I was going for was very European and Evie steered me from that one, so I have earmarked that design as being Albert's. In terms of references Dagrus had two. I've been rewatching the WGRP arc from YuGiOh 5D's when I go donate plasma, so I fell back in love with Jack Atlas and Red Demon's Dragon.

The other was Dragredder from Kamen Rider Ryuki, which I suppose is fitting given that for Albert I was looking at Wizardragon from Kamen Rider Wizard.

I'm glad you went with the claws suggestion. The Mishima emblem doesn't involve toes so I thought including them here would push it more towards Chinese. Helps keep his identity hidden while still respecting his heritage.

I also wanted to add that using white in all of the emblems really helped unify them.

But yes, I worked on the emblems for the Divine Crown squadrons. Up first is the Precious Fangs Squadron emblem. Taken over from the previous "Wild Fangs" squadron, Nana changed the crest in its entirety to further her way of operating the squadron from Adrian's. In fact, not one Lion changed the emblem until she did, which does bring some weight to the idea that the mantle is/was cursed.

Yeah, in the end you did seem to pull all these together pretty damn fast lol.

I do like this a lot, given various factors it's fitting that this one has the biggest crown design of the four. There's a very "indomitable lion" sort of vibe that also works great, along eith the subtle sword and shield motif.

The Lion Fangire from Kiva factored *A LOT* into this design, I was thinking of him the entire time and actually had to back off of some of his design quirks like the trumpets so it wouldn't get too terribly busy, but at one point I was going to use the mane/spokes right below the crown to have the LoE colors of Nana's top operatives. I pulled back when I remembered that Nana is the only one with four Chevaliers right now. ^^;; Godiva has two, Dagrus has tw-...Well 1.5, Miguel has one. That and then fitting that part into ALL of them was going to be a pain to figure out.
