“Furniture Barn was a tale of commercial success. >_> Originally a Swedish company that wanted to prove you didn't have to sell meatballs, licorice, lingonberry jam, or in fact any food products to get people to buy beautiful, high-quality furnishings, it was now a multinational corporation with stores in America, all across Europe, at least one location in Tokyo, and three in the flourishing new Mirai Republic. It had succeeded so well that the founder had started a spinoff chain of Swedish select groceries, called Meatball Farmhouse.

And the pride and joy of these kings of carpentry and upholstery was the Furniture Barn outlet store here in the Lamperouge Mall. It had all the furniture one could ever want, at not outrageous markups either. All of it beautifully made, tastefully set out on the showroom floor to peruse and sample and try sitting on for a period of no longer than 20 minutes or you would be asked to leave. It ran like clockwork. It sold furniture. And it closed up for the evening.”
