Oh man, I like the new fire effect! It's really classy, even though I also liked the old fire effect's detail, this has a nice...ghostliness to it.

Also the subtlety of her scars here is nice. ^^ Good work!

As for the fire styles, I think if you somehow find a way to combine the two styles it would work out better. this definitely got the shape right, but flames tend to be more 'solid' at their "base". Maybe like a gradient or something?

Well, my drawing spree suddenly cooled off there. Despite a nice long list of characters I'd like to draw and a few pieces of art I offered to do for some others ^^; I've sketched a few things here and there that I haven't been too satisfied with.

Anyway, here's Noel, who I haven't drawn in some time. The itch to sketch her peaked after playing some KoF2002 with my buddy (yay Vanessa) though was building up some via Street Fighter (>.> Since Crimson Viper's pretty much a riff on Vanessa with the added flair of other KoF chars).

Wanted to try a bit of a different perspective - a bit of an up angle with Noel looking down towards someone. Her expression here is something that probably woulda been more common back in her banchō days in high school. Basically "I'm gonna fuck you up... And enjoy doing it." So, needless to say, not exactly an expression you want to see from Noel.

....Well, except if you're Leesa >___>

No, actually, he reminds me of Adachi, too. o_O; I think it's the hair? He's also got Ikari Shinji influences in there--the general shape of the face, the eyes, the slender build--but the tie and the hair I guess are subconscious Adachi refs.

Meandering around looking for inspiration for possibly recoding the site to make it less clusterfuckity, I found that the summer marked the 20th Anniversary of Sailor Moon. The new anime begins in Summer of 2013 and I'm really hoping it inspires me to actually sit down and write again. Even if it winds up with a slight revamp, I kinda miss writing Sailor Shadow...

Anywho... Knight of Chaos (Loki), Sailor Chibi-Shadow (Kage), Sailor Shadow (Robyn), and Aphrodite.

Here's my first time drawing Iris, in one of her S3 outfits. Jason's awesomeness is totes responsible for the visual direction, as most of the cues here are taken from the two S3 Iris concepts he's done. He drew her tuft of blue hair up once and down once, not sure which I like more o 3o; She'll prolly alternate.

Not entirely satisfied with everything. A few minor proportion things I either didn't catch or couldn't quite get to look right. And I totally didn't nail the leather pants. But I also think that falls into an aspect of shading/coloring that I'll be able to improve on more readily whenever I decide to take a plunge into a tablet instead of using a mouse for.

This was also kinda unplanned ^^; Considering I have some character art for both others and myself on deck, and then when I had a bit of free time today, this happened instead!

As previously introduced, she's a university student who made a contract during the Second Crash and was lucky enough to have a D-Phone manifest, but without a DJ, and with a glitched manual and a complete air head partner, she's completely in the dark about everything!

Olivia has a water-based DE - she can conjur water around her to act as armor, use to get around, or send to attack. She had a small appearance in the festival thread and is about to get a full introduction.

I'd say she's tall, but... DU probably has about half a dozen girls taller than her XD But regardless, she's a tall, thin type.

....Yeah, that best describes this pic. This isn't something I had in mind at all, it just happened XD

Because of Nana's bodytype, tomboyish looks, and rampant sex hair, I had to be really careful to maintain enough femininity. But I am proud that I was able to do a pretty good job with the perspective and her body being lifted in the air from behind.

So maybe someone else would have been flattered more from this angle. But Nana's definitely the one on my character roster who would enjoy this XD Had I thought "I'm gonna draw some tentacles!" I may have gone with Suki XDDD ....I may have to do that on some point, anyway, if only to officially make Suki and tentacles a thing XD

One thing I caught is that I should have drawn Nana's hair going in the other direction (mirrored from the pic) to indicate a subtle tilt of her head in the opposite direction.

Here's some concept art for Mikhail, an upcoming character of Garran/Ronnel's.

He's a big, burly Crown fella who's going to debut alongside the new Divine Crown Wolf. I intend to give Mikhail some more proper art with his Visor equipped, but wanted to make sure his face got out there and I had his general size looking about right. ^^; I also forgot to inquire about skin tone of relatively light or dark hair, so just decided to keep it simple here.

Soooo, while I was digging back through Cam's pics for the glimpse of Malcolm, I came across his Pegasus transformation pic and was inspired to do something similar with Nana.

I ended up handicapping myself a bit on the transformation itself - it came out a bit too closely to Cam's original effort since my sketch of Nana took up the entire page and I didn't have many options for drawing other pieces ^^; And I didn't want to redo anything because I really like how Nana came out o 3o I think this is the closest I've come to properly conveying Nana's bodytype the way Cam does. If anything, maybe her hips/ass should curve out a little bit more, but maybe I just think that because I drew her at a very subtle pivot since they are drawn pretty wide/thick regardless.

Hrm. Malcolm, Chuukon, Griffin, Henry, Glory, Jasmine. Huh. You sound right on the numbering, though. You can add Sophia now, so there's seven >_> And there are a couple NPCs. And I do know that a many of the tamers you have in mind are black or half-black.

But considering the amount of Japanese/part-Japanese characters... XD

And also the fact that there are other ethnicities with even less representation ^^;; Like how many hispanic chars are there? Synne/Sariel's heritage on that behalf and then Miguel coming up. One South American char. Like one-half of a character that's maybe from the Middle East? I just added who I think is our first character from the Indian subcontinent. We're currently lacking any characters from Oceania. We've never even whiffed at a Pacific Islander. And there's only a small handful of Asian characters with roots outside of Japan.

So I don't think there's too much to worry about, especially since we've been actively conscious to mix up character origins more lately >_>

Alright, a more recent piece of backlog here. Basically a part three to the Sophia cheesecake. And I guess also a subconscious kick to Cam about a design for the other person in the pic XD

Want to try improving with more dynamic angles and perspectives, so here's one. I like how it came out, though her head is a little... not quite right ^^; Think it's slightly too long/large and a tad mishapen?

Also wish I nailed the shading just a little more. I do think it turned out well in general, but without going into detail, because a lot of her body is in a light shadow here, it changed my approach a bit. I still like how her skin came out in the first cheesecake of her lying on her stomach the most - I think it captures the... juiciness of Sophia's figure the best XD

Yeah, the lower body needs a shift. Given the curves it seems more like her back than her front. And watch your shoulders there.

Yeah x_x I think a lot of it is simply just how I drew the lines on the clothing there. Though her right leg should probably be out a little more.

Here is Virgil's D-Phone. Any resemblance it bears to a certain other redheaded character with a thing for Agito booty is ENTIRELY coincidental >_> Seriously XD I had forgotten the color scheme of said character's phone until noticing it while going back to find the D-Phone template.

As you can see, Virgil's phone is a pretty simple design. That's because, like a brush, he sees his D-Phone as a tool - a vehicle for creating art, and not art itself.
